Tips to avoid hair loss after pregnancy

Most young mothers lose some hair in the first few months after giving birth. Fortunately, this hair loss is both temporary and reversible1. We have some useful tips on how to minimise your post-pregnancy hair loss.

There are several natural ways to keep hair loss to a minimum.

1. Eat a balanced diet

A varied diet is essential for encouraging hair growth. Fill up on vitamins with nutritious fruit and vegetable based drinks. Fruit is an excellent source of vitamin C, beta-carotene and minerals.

It’s also important to choose foods that are rich in magnesium, zinc, iron and vitamins A, B and E, as these are key elements in the hair follicle’s natural cycle.  Think fish, red meat and pulses!

2. Choose your hair care products carefully

3. Look after your hair

4. Make time for yourself
